The Swift-Net BBQ Shack
At Swift-Net, supporting local communities has always been at the heart of what we do. This year, alongside delivering reliable internet across rural Alberta and Saskatchewan, we’re excited to launch the Swift-Net BBQ Trailer!
Throughout the coming months, we’ll be visiting communities across our service region, serving up burgers and hot dogs while helping support local charities, fundraisers, and community events. It’s our way of giving back to the communities that continue to support us.
As many of you know, we’ve spent the last several years heavily focused on expanding and improving our network infrastructure. This year, we’re taking a bit of a step back from major fibre expansion projects so we can spend more time connecting directly with the people we serve every day.
We’re very excited to get out into the community, meet more of our customers face-to-face, and continue building the local relationships that make Swift-Net different. We hope to see you this summer!

Our first time out with our new BBQ trailer was a big hit! We were out flipping burgers to raise money for our local SPCA (Border Paws) and managed to raise $1000 with the help of our great community that's always quick to come out and support a good cause.
We have several more BBQ's planned for this summer, all over our service area, in support of local groups and charities that rely on donations to operate. Very soon we will be setting up in Kindersley to try and help raise money for Heritage Manor, a local long-term care home. See you there!

Our second time out with the trailer took us down the road to Kindersley, Saskatchewan. We were in Kindersley, flippin' burgers, in support of the Heritage Manor dining room renovation. Heritage Manor is Kindersleys local long term care home.
There was strong support from the community and we managed to raise over $1100 with the help the local community! A special thank-you to the Kindersley Co-op for allowing us to use their parking lot for this event. Watch out for us in Bonneville this coming week (June 18)!

Our visit out to Bonnyville was a lot wetter than we were hoping and planning for. That didn't stop the community from coming together to help support The Bonnyville Friendship Center!
We have some infrastructure work coming up in the coming weeks but plan to announce our next BBQ's location and the cause we will be supporting for sometime in July.
